Living Room Progress: New Curtains & End Table

I picked up this end table for $10 at the thrift store. It's a great art deco piece. It needed some love, so I oiled it up and it's looking great.
Here's a close up of the table.

I am loving the new curtains. They are from Ikea. I think it's great that they pick up the blue from the mirror.

You can see my chairs (thrift store find for $7 each!!!) Also, if you look close enough, you'll see the plastic still on the lamp shade, I'm still deciding whether or not I like that lamp better than the one I had there before.
Here's the lamp from before. I still love it...but I think the black one is better for this room. What do you think?

I need to find a way to hide that cord. Other than that, I love a good stack of old books, don't you? I also really love my vintage typewriter and camera collection (two things I love, writing and photography.)
I added a new lamp that I got from the thrift store for $5, a steer horn I got for $10 and a globe I got for $6.
So that's the progress so far. The cowhide from Overstock didn't workout. It was hideous. It looked like a foam mat. Then I later found out that my husband is completely adverse to animal hides in our house. He compromised with the sheep skin, and thank goodness, because it's one of my favorite parts of the room. I got another sheep skin for our bedroom at the thrift store for $12! I was super excited after paying $40 at Ikea for the one in the picture.

Tell me what you guys think of the progress...any great ideas or suggestions?
